Biography
DJ Yess started out in 1986 doing Hip Hop parties with his formed crew Masterplan, he also was on Fresh FM radio station in Leicester for 10 years with a massive following. He started producing his own songs in 1989 and in 1991 DJ Yess along with D-Crime had their first 12" record deal with Ruff Justice Records, with a song called 'Time for Action'. They went on to release two more singles on the same label. In 1995 Yess was in a Portugese band called Blackout (signed to Polydor) and was on tour and had no1 hits in portugal. In around that time he was also touring Belgium, Germany, and Spain with his Dj'ing. As well as Dj'ing, Yess is producing now and is also the founder of an urban music production company aptly named "Yess Music" who are currently working and looking for up and coming artists to produce. DJ Yess has recently recorded an 11 track album with an artist called Wotee entitled 'Industrious Revelation' featuring many other artists, he is looking to get it signed for release. A couple of tracks from the album will be up in the Features section soon, so you can have a listen. |
