Members Fluke, Debut 75
Biography Metaphorce comprised of Fluke and Debut 75 - two Brighton based emcees with a penchant for the traditional Britcore sound. As an active member of the local graffiti scene, Fluke initially made links with First Down when they relocated to Brighton and were recording the classic 'Mad Dogs & Englishmen' EP and 'World Service' LP. The remix of First Down's 'No Rest For The Wicked' featured on Blitz Mob's 'Die Organisation' compilation was Fluke's first appearance on wax - albeit a radio-show style shout over DJ First Rate's section of the track. Metaphorce then went into the studio with First Down and DJ First Rate in 1995 to record two tracks - 'Recipes For Disaster' and 'Behind Enemy Lines'. The latter sharing the same name as a short-lived UK rap fanzine produced by Fluke some 4 years earlier. These tracks were released on First Down's Ill Gotten Gains label, although ultimately financed by student loans. They followed this up with 'Fair Means Or Foul', a track that featured on the Ruf Diamonds Volume 1 compilation and a live appearance at Fresh '97 before eventually disappearing into obscurity. Today, Fluke no longer rhymes but as a freelance writer he is a regular contributor to Hip-Hop Connection magazine. Debut 75 is on the verge of releasing new material under The Hypochondiacs guise.
