Biography
DJ Halo and Chase 1 formed The Criminal Minds in 1985,and while at college
DJ Halo met Iceski who would become the lead emcee in The Criminal Minds.
Upon meeting another DJ called Spatts they released their first EP entitled
'Guilty As Charged', this EP was funded by Halo selling his decks and
the group, plus friends and family chipping in with some cash, there
are only 500 copies pressed. Soon after Safe D and CMD joined the group
and they released 'Tales From The Wasteland' again independently on
their own label. Many tracks were recorded but not released in the following
years.
In 2001 DJ Halo started his own label called UK Rap Records, which released
material by themselves, plus Killa Instinct and Dark Craftsmen. In 2003
The Criminal Minds released the 'Break Shit Up' EP on Vinylstore.
